With winter around the corner, dry skin could be coming! In its worst form it can start itching and get flaky! Also dry skin causes wrinkles!! what can you do to keep your skin soft and supple? Keeping your skin moisturized during the cold winter months. It takes work, But if you’re willing to stick to a regular routine, it can be done, no matter how brittle your skin or brutal the weather.

For the Face.
Winter-proofing your face can be tricky, depending on what type of skin you have. Like your body avoid really hot water when washing your face, and use a mild, non-drying cream cleanser. Always pat dry and apply moisturizer after washing.
(even if you have oily skin! that could actually be why you have oily skin your body is compensating for lack of moisture)
Dry skin is one of the main causes of aging! WRINKLES!! Keep your skin supple and you will help keep the look of wrinkly/aging skin at bay ~
Be careful not to use too much foundation, and opt for light, creamy formulas. Combining your base with a bit of moisturizer is also a good trick and can help prevent caking and flaking.

Drink  MORE water!
Make sure you drink a lot of water even when its winters and you are not particularly thirsty. Water brings the change from within and prevents dehydration which shows on your skin eventually. Dry lips is also the first sigh on dehydration~ And don’t forget about your lips! Be sure to apply balm regularly to protect against harsh cold winds also one with SPF just because its cold out doesn't stop the sun from sharing its raise!

For the Body. No More Hot Steaming Showers. This sucks, I know— they feel so good, especially on a cold day, but hot water strips your skin of much needed natural moisture.  If you really can’t stand keeping it cool, cut down your shower time!
Pat your skin dry — don’t rub, Then it’s best to Moisturize your body right after you get out of the water, when your skin is still damp. slather yourself with a heavy duty body lotion and let it soak in a few min before dressing.

Easy on the Exfoliation IF you have already have flaking skin so bad its bleeding so to avoid damaging vulnerable skin

Dry hands and feetWhen washing your hands avoid too hot or too cold water. Use lukewarm. Apply lotion often and every time after washing your hands. keep a small bottle of Hand Cream in your bag.

Get a humidifier If you feel your home has a dry air feeling to it, get a humidifier to place beside your bed or in the living room. In winters, keep a small humidifier near the heater which keeps the level of humidity in the air constant.
